Born & Early life
Govinda was born on 21 December 1963 in Virar, Maharashtra to father Arun Kumar Ahuja (actor) and mother Nirmala Ahuja. Her mother belonged to the city of Varanasi. Her mother, Nazim was a Muslim but converted to Hinduism and changed her name to Nirmala Devi. And his father came to Mumbai from Gujranwala (now in Pakistan) to become an actor.

His father has been a very good Bollywood actor. Who started his film world from the year 1939 and did films for about 15 years till the year 1954.
